Youth group activities for LGBTQIA individuals between the ages of 12 – 19. UBU Cenla is a group for individuals who identify as and/or support a member of the LGBTQIA community. UBU uses educational exercises that engage everyone and can be utilized as ice breakers to generate discussions to help bring our communities’ youth together. Youth workers and LGBT young people play a major role in tackling discrimination and changing the hearts and minds of others in society. UBU Cenla is a fun social group that promotes confidence in a safe confidential environment. For many, an LGBT youth group will be the first place they truly feel that they can be themselves.
Our goal is to provide lesbian, gay, bi, and trans young people and allies a safe space to meet, socialize, access support, develop skills, and build confidence through a range of leisure and educational activities that promote growth and a feeling of empowerment as active members within the group and the community. This is your group. It doesn’t matter who you are…. UBU!
All UBU activities are chaperoned by adults.
