Rotary Club of Alexandria supports CLASS HIV prevention efforts

Jan
15
Executive Director Ann Lowrey is presented with a check for $2400 by the Rotary Club of Alexandria.

Many thanks to the Rotary Club of Alexandria for its award of a $2400 grant award to CLASS for our work in preventing HIV in our community.  This money will be targeted toward stemming the rise of HIV infections among youth ages 13-24.  Nearly 20% of all new infections in Central Louisiana have been diagnosed in this age group.  For more information on how you can help us in the community, call us at (318) 442-1010.  If you see a member of the Alexandria Rotary Club, tell them how much you appreciate its support of CLASS!

Welcome to the GBT - A Wellness Center

Sep
30

After much discussion, CLASS will now call its Gay Men's Wellness Center "The GBT: A Wellness Center" or "The GBT" for short.

The letters stand for Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender, which include all of our target populations. We also wanted to follow CLASS's example with a catchy, easy-to-remember, inclusive, yet discreet acronym as a name.
